PNIA Main Event (Day 3): 3rd Place – Zachary Mullennix ($18,816)

Level 24 (20,000/40,000/5,000)
Total Entrants: 122
Players Remaining: 2
Average Stack: 2,440,000

3rd Place: Zachary Mullennix: ($18,816)

Zachary Mullennix was the chip leader in the earlier portion of today’s final table but had his PPO stock drop after doubling up Stan Fudor. Mullennix was soon below the 1,000,000 mark and never fully recovered and hit the rail with Jeremy Halaska sending him out the door.

With 465,000 behind, Mullennix open-shipped from the small blind with K♣5 and Halaska called immediately with JJ♠ from the big blind. Mullennix would need help heading to the flop but found little on the AQ♣4♠ runout. The 9♠ turn did not improve his hand and the 10 turn would officially send him out.

Mullennix will earn just under $19,000 for his third place run as continues to represent his hometown poker room tremendously well.

Halaska is now the slight chip leader over Stan Fudor with heads up play soon to get underway.
