As noted, Ben Anolik was on the short stack after the elimination of Brian Guenther and hit the rail and would need a double to climb back into contention. With the new blinds, there was even more pressure on Anolik and he soon crumbled after a great run in this event.
Anolik moved all-in for 225,000 from the hijack and found a call from Mark Bowersock in the cutoff. Anolik was hoping for a race and saw he was dominated with his 4♣4♥ trailing the 6♣6♦ of Bowersock.
The 6♥5♥3♥ flop was the perfect action for Anolik, giving him straight and flush outs but the 3♦ left him reduced to catching a straight flush. The 9♣ on the river was a blank and the Rivers Poker Room favorite took his exit.
Bowersock is now up to 850,000 and comfortably in third place behind Stan Fudor and Zachary Mullennix.
