Event 9: On The Edge Of Main Event Glory

Level 5 (300/600/100)
Total Entrants: 56

The Pittsburgh Poker Open Main Event is starting up tomorrow and with it is a field expected to be in the range of over 200 players to go along with the $100,000 guarantee. We are likely to see the following two players in this weekend’s tournament as they look to take home their first main event title after previous close calls.

Tim Berkey has two previous Pittsburgh Poker Open Main Event cashes to his name coming in 2013 and 2015. Those trips to the payout cage account for the larger portion of Berkey’s $11,000 in career earnings as the Pittsburgh native goes for another score in today’s “Deep Stack” tournament.
Greg Brletich has been on the verge of breaking through for a title for a few years now. Brletich took second in the August 2013 PPO title and finished fourth in this summer’s Three Poker Challenge Main Event. Brletich and his $65,000 in career earnings have been active this week as he plays for his second career PPO trophy.
