Terry Moore came into Day 2 under the chip average with 117,000. While that relative lack in chips may have phased some players, Moore and his 48 recorded tournament cashes were more than comfortable playing that stack. He is now up to 180,000 after a hand that eliminated Andrew Korby.
Following an open from Moore on the button to 5,500, Korby three-bet out of the small blind to 12,500. Moore called and the two checked the A♠9♣3♥ board. The K♣ hit the turn and both checked again. The K♥ on the river is when the action heated up. Korby led for 13,000 and after a few moments of thought, Moore shoved all-in for 64,800 total having Korby covered by just a few thousand.
Korby spent a few minutes in the tank and called to see Moore turn over K♦J♣ for rivered trips. Korby mucked and promptly hit the rail while Moore stacked his winnings as he inches closer to his first career main event victory.
