Kevin Nugent has been short-stacked for the larger portion of Day 2, but after eliminating Chang Lee, Nugent is back up to 125,000 and has his eyes set on his first career tournament cash.

Following his loss to Mark Bowersock that saw his chip stack heavily depleted, Chang Lee was under a lot of pressure to find a double up in short order. From the big blind, Lee moved all-in for his last 55,000 over the top of limps by Kevin Nugent and Bowersock. Nugent called and Bowersock quickly folded and Lee was at risk for his tournament life while Nugent had most of his chips at risk as well.

Nugent’s 1010♠ had Lee’s J6♣ dominated and despite flopping a six, Lee was unable to fully catch up to Nugent’s higher pair. While Lee took his exit, Nugent stacked up the winnings and is back out of the danger zone on Day 2 of the TRPC Main Event.

With Lee’s elimination, Tim Berkey is now the short stack in the field. After the elimination of two more players, the field will redraw for the final 10 seats as those remaining play down to a main event champion.
