Habib Shahen has been quiet for most of Day 2, but announced himself to the final table by eliminating David Lackey.

It didn’t take long for the action to kickoff at the final table of the TRPC Main Event as David Lackey and Connor Arlia found themselves on the wrong end of coolers that sent Habib Shahen and Frank Dellaria shooting up the leaderboard.

With the board reading 987♣Q, all of the money went in between Lackey and Shahen. Lackey held 9♣9♠ for a set but found himself trailing the 6♠5♠ of Shahen. Lackey could not find a card pairing the board and he is out in 10th place. Shahen is now over 400,000 and a threat to keep adding to his stack.

A few hands later, Dellaria and Arlia got into a raising war with all of Dellaria’s 230,000 chips getting into the middle with him holding A♠A and Arlia only being able to muster KK♣. The board ran clean for Dellaria as he approaches 500,000 and Arlia finds himself knocked back to 620,000 but still holding on to the chip lead.
