PNIA Main Event (Day 2): 14th Place and 13th Place – Kevin Gerhart and Jake Sung ($3,929)

PNIA Main Event
Level 22 (12,000/24,000/4,000)
Total Entries: 270
Total Remaining Players: 12
Chip Average: 1,125,000 (47 bb)

Continuing with the general theme of short stacks having to make a move in order to double and stay alive, both Kevin Gerhart and Jake Sung saw their tournaments come to and end while trying to get that needed double.

Gerhart moved his final 200,000 in with ace-jack against the ace-queen of Bernie Dominiak. Gerhart badly needed a jack to stay alive, but did not find it and bowed out in 14th place.

Sung went all in for 350 with K♠Q♠ and was called by the 99 of Casey Yontz. The K♣Q2♥ flop put Sung relatively safely ahead. The 9♠ on the turn spelled doom for Sung, though. There would be no help on the river and Sung hit the rail in 13th place.

Dominiak now sits with 920,000 while Yontz holds 825,000
