Bernie Dominiak – 10th Place ($3,929)

Right as Ian Pearlman was eliminated and the two tables looked to be redrawing, Bernie Dominiak and Eli Stepanovich found themselves in a major confrontation that left Stepanovich working a major stack and Dominiak all but eliminated.

Following a limp from Stepanovich from early position, John Kulp limped from the small blind only to have Bernie Dominiak move all in from the big blind for about 600,000 total. Stepanovich called being barely covered by Dominiak and Kulp folded behind.

Dominiak opened up AK♣ and would be flipping against Stepanovich’s J♣J. The K10♠4♣ flop put Dominiak ahead but the 9♣ on the turn gave Stepanovich a few extra outs for the river. Calling for a queen, Stepanovich’s prayer was answered on the Q river to give him the double and leave Dominiak left with 50,000 which he lost shortly thereafter.

The redraw for the final nine will be posted shortly.
